X (Twitter) Header Resizer
X's profile header is a 1500×500 banner — three times wider than tall, with your avatar parked on the lower-left and interface overlays eating the edges. This resizer seeds both dimensions for you: drop an image, compose around the safe zones, export a sharp JPG. The whole workflow stays in your browser.
Headers upload at 1500×500 (3:1) and display across a strip that ranges from phone-width to full desktop — a span of nearly 4×. Compose in the middle band and expect the extreme left and right to be trimmed on narrow screens.
X accepts up to 5MB, so size is never the constraint here — sharpness is. A 1500×500 JPG at quality 90 keeps text overlays crisp through the platform's re-encode.
The circular avatar sits over the lower-left of the banner on the profile page, and the follow button overlaps on the right for viewers who don't follow you yet. Keep logos and taglines centered or upper-center; treat the corners as decoration-only.
1500×500 pixels (3:1 ratio), up to 5MB. The preset here seeds exactly those dimensions.
Center to upper-center. The avatar covers the lower-left, buttons overlap the lower-right, and narrow screens crop the outer edges.
Usually a source that started smaller than 1500px wide — X upscales and re-compresses, which doubles the softness. Feed it the exact size at quality 90 and the platform has nothing to fix.
Yes — the header spec carried over from Twitter to X unchanged, which is why both names point at the same 1500×500 canvas.
